Government Payroll Assistance

We’re Here for You During the Government Shutdown

For nearly 90 years, First U.S. has proudly served federal employees. For those members impacted by the government shutdown, we want you to have peace of mind knowing we’re here for you during this uncertain time.

To help ease the burden of lost income during the furlough, we are offering a Government Employee Furlough Loan with special relief terms:

  • 0% APR for 12 months
  • Borrow up to three months of net pay lost (maximum $5,000)
  • Flexible repayment start date – choose to begin payments in month 1, 2, or 3 (Deferral of the first payment will not extend the loan term)

Eligibility

  • Must be a current member of First U.S.
  • Provide your most recent paystub and proof of furlough

Apply online by selecting “Personal Loan” and including “Furlough Loan” in the notes or visit a branch or call (800) 556-6768.

Additional Assistance

If you have an existing First U.S. auto or personal loan, you may also be eligible to skip a payment during this period. Log-in to online or mobile banking and select “Skip-A-Pay” under “Tools.”
